Things I Learned Today

My husband just told me he’s cooking my favorite thing he makes for dinner, and I melted into a puddle. Excited…and in love!

There are people who pronounce “jewelry” like “jewlery”. Oh boy.

There are also people who pronounce “nuclear” like “nuke-ular”. That one always got me.

As much as I totally believe in and appreciate the “don’t let your child quit anything mid-season” philosophy, I’m not sure it should always be applied. Our world is different now, and mental health is more important. Some people are hard asses, and I get it, but I don’t think we can be that rigid any more. My two cents.

Today was a productive day.

Tell me not to get discouraged about writing for my own blog or establishing my Amazon deals page. I feel discouraged.

Why do donuts have to be so tasty? I haven’t had any, but I like ’em.

Gray, rainy days are my favorite, but I didn’t get to enjoy it much today. I was inside, busy, without windows for most of the day. Bummer.

You should experience the elation in the room when a class finishes learning all choreo in a performance piece. ELATION! It feels good.

I have said it many times, and I will say it again…I have the BEST dance families. Twice today I was complimented for being a LIGHT in the community and doing great work with children. Oh, my heart! I am grateful for what we have. I love my kids so much. Every one of them.

That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
