Things I learned today…
Had an appointment today to get Keith’s port removed. It went great. We got right to what we thought was the end, then the nurse practitioner said she’d need to take some blood before he left. His little face dropped… but he did just fine.
People, if you hear nothing else today, let these two things sink in…
FIRST…make memories! Don’t go into debt having things, driving a fancy car, having the nicest truck, wearing the brand name jeans. Get out and do, see, experience…with the people you love most.
SECOND…take pictures! Have pics of you and your husband. Take stupid selfies. Frame them. Do it!
When you read any news, do you ask yourself as you’re reading: does this make sense, does it have even a ring of truth, is this a hit piece, is this perpetuating fear, is this from a reputable and named source, who funded this research, how do these statistics compare to historical data, what is the purpose of this story, will/should there be additional or follow up info…?
It’s freaking hot, but I want to wear fall clothes. I’m over this heat. If you see me wearing fall clothes and sweatin’, mind your business. I’m ok with it.
And let’s stop jokingly asking if we can decorate for fall. Let’s just do it. Hell, you can paint your living room sea blue, get you a couple of dinosaur lamps, and add fire engine wallpaper if you want. The world has gone mad. Do whatever you want at your house, and enjoy. That’s what I say.
Make memories. Take pictures. Wear the clothes. Don’t give credence to stupid news stories. Fix up your house.
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
