Things I learned today…
When I make plans for a future weekend, it feels like I have my life together. I don’t. But it feels like it.
I remember when we used to make vacation plans for December around this time, but that’s not so “easy” to do any more. (as if it was easy back then)
I did learn that on the Travelocity site, you can enter where you’re traveling from/to, and it will tell you all the COVID nonsense and restrictions for your travel and return. That is super helpful.
So when we shout, and the children can’t hear us, we’ve resorted to calling them on the phone. Ridiculous.
I probably should’ve done a lot more chores today than I did. I mean…I didn’t really do any. Ok, I washed a few loads of clothes. That’s all. Uuugghhh. I’ll regret my lolling about later probably.
I guess that as of tomorrow, my official birthday week is over. It sure was fun. We celebrated throughout the week, I got some really nice gifts, and we capped it off with a “Trailer Trash Bash” over the weekend that was a hoot. I will remember the 46th always.
This week will be productive, hopefully. I have about 2938209346872498 things I’m thinking of doing, need to do, and must do. I want to get to bed early (and hopefully sleep good!!), then get up tomorrow ready to hit it. But first…sheets on the bed. That’s one of the loads of laundry I did. Sheets.
Let’s do this together…tomorrow, let’s make a point to say something kind (and outside the box!) to at least 3 people who don’t look like us. Find them. Say something great. Make their day. Let’s go.
And Dear Lord, please deliver intervals of inner peace, hope, and courage to Americans in Afghanistan, our military men and women, our allies working there, and the Afghan people. Surround those who are afraid, struggling, and desperate with Your presence.
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
