Things I learned today…
Brady told me she doesn’t like puns. How do you not like a good pun?
I haven’t done anything wrong. I wrestle with this periodically, believe it or not, about the least little things. I take responsibility for things I shouldn’t, or I blame myself for things. If a person gets mad at me or dislikes me, maybe I’ve done something wrong. No. I generally try to think and act according to good core values and to preserve a clean conscience. I haven’t done anything wrong.
I believe that the only time we should feel guilty about something is when we’ve acted outside those good core values and done something illegal or immoral. No guilt trips. No self guilt. No mom guilt.
Y’all, please know that everybody’s teenagers do stupid stuff and occasionally make bad choices. If you think your kid never has or doesn’t…your feet sink and you don’t love Jesus.
People don’t read instructions and dang sure can’t follow them even if they do.
I eat for comfort sometimes, and I hate that about myself.
And I drink for sanity. Heh.
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
