Today is not the day…

Today is not the day to be in a funk. It’s not the day to lay around nursing your emotions.

Today is not the day to cry. It’s a good day for a break from tears.

Today is not the day for whining. Just for the day, maybe don’t sit around recounting all the things that aren’t going right.

Today is not the day for anger. Until the sun sets this evening, just breathe.

Today is not the day for judgment. Let them.

Today is not the day for fear. Feel scared, that’s fine, and do it anyway.

Today is not the day for worry.  Worrying is having faith that everything will go wrong. Have faith that it will all go right.

Today is not the day for criticism. Maybe try compassion.

Today is not the day for resentment. It might be a good day to sort through those feels and heal.

Today is not the day for blame.  Take responsibility for what’s yours, and let the rest go today.

Today is not the day to procrastinate. Go ahead, and get it done.

Today is not the day to spread low vibes. Maybe today, don’t post the rant, the beef, the problems, the illness, the inconvenience, the gossip.

Today is not the day for self doubt. If we are awake, we’re capable. Find a way.

Today is not the day for ugly. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Put some lipstick on, if that makes you feel better, and let’s go.

Today is not the day for basic. Use the good dishes, burn the expensive candle, wear the sequins.

Today is not the day to argue. Go along, get along, and let it be.

Today is not the day for lazy. Get up.

Today is not the day to be a miserable cow. Smile. Speak to people. Put your shopping cart in the stall outside. Pick up trash. Drive slower. Stop scowling.

Today is not the day for hate. Give love freely and indiscriminately, and watch it come back three-fold.

Oh, and tomorrow ain’t the day either…

💜 You got this.
