Things I learned today…

It’s really funny how I can get a week off from dance classes yet be going in to the next week back without having had enough time to prepare and do all the things I wanted to do. *sigh*

Sitting on this deck by a fire with a glass of wine, Keith, and Frank Sinatra is pretty damn nice, though.

Where would I be without music? What would I do without music? Who would I be without music?

I decorated my mailbox for Christmas today, and it made me happy. It doesn’t take much for me.

I read that Instagram has presented the world with an augmented reality and that has, in turn, resulted in people believing they should strive for perfection. It said people didn’t crave “real” but instead most loved the glossy, filtered flawlessness they get to see. Really?! Maybe I’m old, but give me glimpses of your farmhouse kitchen and your sequined dress but break down about your kid’s mental health and show me your heart. I want real. I want substance.

I write for a dance studio owner/teacher blog, and today’s submission was about celebrating yourself. I think I’ll adapt it for WSS and post it. Maybe it’ll help one of you. Learning to celebrate myself sure has helped me.

Here’s to a good week ahead as we usher in the holiday season. I think Christmas is magical, and I’m excited.

That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
