Things I learned today…
I am one tired chick. I swear, my legs and feet are absolute jello right now. Uugghh.
I read last week in a book, and I’m SLOWLY (ever so slowly!) learning that nothing that happens to us on the daily is ever as bad as it seems. Most things are pretty benign despite what our fight or flight reflex leads us to believe, and generally, stuff will blow over quickly.
I tell you that, because I dealt with a zillion issues, problems, and perceived crises before 11 am this morning. My resting heart rate was 91 at one point, and my anxiety was through the roof. Freaking stupid. Feels terrible.
Also…could everyone please cool their jets and not aspire to ranks of Her Royal Highness of Hyperbole? People sure do shoot straight to big, scary words and high-level drama over the least little things these days. And y’all, we need to be helping our kids with this, too. Everything IS NOT the end of the world as we know it, plagues, locusts, death and dismemberment. Just deal. It’s all good.
So this is funny…we are firing the answering service we’ve had for our tech company. So we called to tell them to cancel us today, pay the final bill, and whatnot. Our Office Manager, Tammy, is told she needs to leave a message. Fine. *eye roll* In a few minutes we get a text with our own damn message. “Penny is calling to cancel service.” Penny. Not even Tammy. And I’ll kiss your foot if they didn’t provide us with our own call-back number. Holy moly and bless my soul. Then when she called back to get it straight, they were “so sorry” and wondered why we wanted to cancel. Well, get ready, Bucko…I’m about to tell you. That goof was the kind of crap we experience weekly. Ridiculous.
I love my Adult Tap & Jazz class I teach. There are SO MANY possibilities for them. Cue my mad scientist, maniacal laugh. This is going to be fun!
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
