This whole Facebook world is beyond my comprehension. I’m learning (I think), and I’m trying, but Brother, I stay bewildered.
For instance…
Everyone seems to respond well to short pieces. I’m not sure if folks have the attention span of a gnat or what but I’m finding that if it’s shorter, it’s better. Nobody wants to read.
People like crap. If it’s seedy, gossipy, complainy, sexy, or negative, it gets a zillion views and likes.
Politics, politics, politics. I feel like the talking heads pop up randomly, with more frequency, and more pervasively than that Nigerian prince who used to always try to give us money or those scammers who were (are) neurotic about my car’s extended warranty. Folks wouldn’t know propaganda if it bit them in their polling place.
Sappy, melodramatic posts about the woes of motherhood, bonds between long distance friends, and “you’re gonna miss this” coming of age diatribes…people eat that stuff up. Like and shares, tags and comments!

It’s a tough game, tough to be a walk-on trying to play and tough to play if you can ever get any PT.
I’m just people watching today and observing human behavior on social media. It’s a trip…
…all while over here minding my own trying to grow a start-up and build a consortium of like-minded people on my writer page without being too long-winded, smutty, political, or typical…and it’s hard.
That’s it. That’s the post.
Send me a bill for the therapy sesh.
