Things I learned today…
LIFE is a big deal to celebrate every day. We try super hard around here. All life’s moments…even the little ones… should be celebrated!
Keith’s port was removed successfully today. He did great, the staff and service were first rate, and I think we even brightened their day. We both feel like it’s over. No more ties to cancer or lingering “parts”. We will never forget it, there are plenty of constant reminders, and he will still get checked out regularly, but the last physical piece is gone.
So… changing the subject completely… check this out. I follow a Facebook page about goings on in Gulf Shores. A lady posted this pic asking what it was, and a number of people commented that it was a “mermaid’s purse”. What the heck?!

So I looked it up, thinking they were just being snarky, but no… it’s a thing! A mermaid’s purse is a case the envelopes a Shark or skate embryo. No kidding! Go look HERE…

Here’s a picture. It’s just like the one she found!

Ok…other things…
I missed working with my crew today, but I was grateful that they handled business so I could take care of Keith.
When loud music blasts from Blake’s room, I absolutely love it. Don’t even care what kind of music it is. I’ve loved it always. It means he’s here and happy.
Today was a good day. Hoping tomorrow is, too. I need to get some major work done. We both slept a minute this afternoon, and we’re super scrunchy, but we’re off to celebrate this evening with the children, just us.
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
