Things I learned today…
I started to crochet a blanket last night, and I had forgotten how much I loved it.
While I was yarning over and hooking and turning, I realized that a crocheted blanket is one continuous string of yarn that is continuously looped and pulled to make stitch after stitch. The stitches form rows. Row after row, the blanket gets longer. You never go backward, except to pull out a stitch or two, correct your error, and move forward again. One long string of stitches and rows and little adjustments along the way make up a full, warm masterpiece that’s one of a kind. No two are the same. It’s just like life.
Met new friends today, and I’m so excited about the prospect of getting to know them and hanging out.
I’m making steak kabobs this evening, and Keith’s making burnt ends. We will be in food heaven later!
Today feels like a shift is taking place. Hmmm. I want to think about why that is and chase that notion. It feels like a GOOD shift.
That’s actually how I feel about the last couple of months – a good shift is taking place.
Keith and I are about to go out on a few errands. I wonder if I can coerce him into letting run in Kirkland’s for a minute? He’s sweet to me, so I bet he’ll let me. *fingers crossed*
I’m posting my TILT early, because I want to spend today with Keith and this evening with the children. We’re all going our separate ways right now, but we’ll be back together later.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always worked to design the life I want, but I’ve never been this deliberate and serious about it.
Keith: What are you doing?
Me: TILT
Keith: You’ve learned something today already?
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
