Things I learned today…

We were at a restaurant today, and a guy came in with an iPhone he found sitting on a truck outside. He had a family, two little girls and a wife. He was asking around the room for whose phone it could be. I suggested he look at the home screen picture or get the name, and he handed it to me, so I could check it. A lady at a booth near me saw me holding it up and said THAT’S MINE!, so I handed it to her. She seemed relieved, but she never said “thank you”, not to me or the especially the man who brought it in to find its owner. Keith noticed, and we were dumbstruck. That man saved that woman money, misery, and a lot of inconvenience. When she left, she didn’t even look his way. Really?! So we were sure to thank the man. Loudly. We knew his goodness, and we could only hope his children saw it. Men like him are the real deal.

I did some housework today. Not much, but some. I’m calling a housekeeper this week. You guys talked me into it.

I’m feeling really run down and sore these days. Now to take on the mental battle of a detox and revamp to make my body feel good again. It hurts.

This week is about to be SO packed full. We have fitting appointments at the studio every 10 minutes for 5 hours a day starting tomorrow. Whew. We are about to work really hard.

Brady starts roping lessons tomorrow!

Blake has completely gutted and is rebuilding a Honda CRX for fun. He found it, bought it, hauled it home, and stripped it. The back garage looks like a bomb exploded, and there’s a motor dangling from a lift amidst tires, wiring harnesses, and car trash. But I’m so happy he found something to tinker with. What a great way to learn!

Outcome is not in your hands. Effort is. Put that in the bank.

Headed to make sure there is wine in the cooler for the week!

That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
