Things I learned today…

The only thing that got me out of bed this morning was pure self discipline, because crap, I was sleepy.

The easier you are to offend, the easier you are to manipulate. Put that in the bank.

Helped a turtle across the road today. He was as big as a dinner plate. His face was so gentle and sweet. I actually had to drive past him and drop Brady off at the barn first, then go back to help him. He was still there, only about a foot from where he had been, and I was able to get him across before a car got him.

If you don’t respect them, why do you care about their opinion?

I wish I had started saving at 20 when I got my first “real job”. People, save. Even if it’s twenty bucks a paycheck.

The word “everyday” is used when you need an adjective to describe the ordinary, for instance, “my having anxiety is an everyday occurrence”. You use “every day” when you’re talking about what happens each day (“she wears rain boots every day”). You’re welcome.

Living with no fear is when you see a number you don’t recognize but you answer anyway. It’s Shark Week but you wear white pants anyway. The food looks questionable, but you take a bite and try it anyway. Whoo boy!

I think “news” should be in quotation marks when referring to the information doled out on TV or in print. You know what I mean? So interesting how journalism has evolved. Truly. I find it fascinating.

Now that I’m writing on the regular, my brain is working even more than it did before, which I believe is both a blessing and a curse.

If we are talking, and you have a tone… I’m bout to have a tone. Gloves are off.

Do your feet hurt? My freaking feet hurt. I often wonder if the way I feel is normal, or if I’m messed up. Probably that.

Rain is glorious.

Teenagers are not glorious.

That’s all. We learn everyday, don’t we?
