Things I learned today…
Taking Hudson, our 8 month old Cairn Terrier, with us in the car is a workout and an effort in extraordinary patience.
I think this world is way backwards partially because moms stopped carrying wooden spoons in their purses.
As I was backing out at Sonic tonight, I happened to make eye contact with the woman in the car next to me, and she smiled. Genuinely. We both smiled. It was a pleasant moment…a bit of joy…for a fleeting second.
I can’t imagine what my life would be like had I never danced.
I like the organ that plays at baseball games. Randy Nelson first played the organ at a baseball game at Wrigley Field on April 26, 1941. See, there were no electric amplifiers yet, and pipe organ music could be heard best across the whole stadium. It’s the 80th year of the tradition.
There are days that I actually miss Keith. And we’re just both at work.
I dreamed last night that a wanderer and his horse came up, and I knew not to let him in the house. I remember something about either saying or thinking that my mom would not want me to let him in. In the next frame, we were standing in my childhood bedroom, and he pointed his knife directly in my face. He had me. My eyes opened. Frightening.
That’s all. We learn everyday, don’t we?
