Things I learned today…
The chips-to-dip ratio is never balanced at a restaurant.
We love talking to people when we travel. Had we been able to spend another 10 minutes with these folks we met from NYC today, we would’ve probably become friends for life.
Order the drink if it looks from the description like it’d be good, even if you’re not sure. I had the “Andromeda” last night and the “Hades” tonight. Couldn’t tell you what was in either of them, but they were stout and great.

I believe that there is a reason for crossing paths with every person you cross paths with.
When we hastily made plans to come to Maine, I hopped online and made reservations at a restaurant, sight unseen of course, for Saturday night at 8 pm. It turned out to be a dream! Our reservation was for indoor dining, and outdoor seating was first- come. We got there 30 minutes early, there was the PERFECT outdoor table available, and we sat right down.
Keith had a hot buttered lobster roll and fries, and I had the stuffed haddock with seasonal vegetables. Oh. My. Word. Between the Cabernet, the local “Shipyard” beer, and the sunset view, we couldn’t have designed such a beautiful dinner experience. I am a so grateful.

Sometimes I stare at Keith and try my best to burn into my mind him, all that’s going on around us, the lights, the sounds, the smells, the wind blowing. Those are my “80 Moments”. I’m going to do my best to recall all that goodness when I’m 80.

I learned that when you’re people watching, you keep an eye on the seagulls flying over crowds. Oops! Pretty funny stuff.
We saw a floating party today. All the boats were crowded together, and there was a band on a boat in the middle.
I saw a bald eagle in its nest today. Teared up a little.

Tomorrow, we plan to make the most of our time left, then hopefully have a timely, safe, uneventful trip back home.
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
