Things I learned today…
I was reminded today that when you put a bunch of smart people from the same industry who aren’t afraid to share their knowledge, experience, and wisdom in the same room, it’s pretty magical.
All the Craps tables were $25 tables tonight, which is a little rich for my blood. They say that “since COVID”, the table stakes have been made higher. Whatever.
It’s only day two of the conference, and I’m feeling like going home and changing the world one minute, like I’m woefully behind on the work I SHOULD be doing already the next minute, and overwhelmed by all the stuff I need to do when I get back after that.
I can’t get enough to drink. But I did have a $6 milkshake today, and it was quite good.
One cool thing about the conference is that I learn how many things I’m doing right. That’s always reassuring.
TILT posts are hard when all you’ve done is have your brain filled with dance studio owner stuff all day. Uugghh.
I learned that if my dance families knew how many other studios were run, what programs they offered, what they focused on, and what they DIDN’T focus on, they would be shocked and a lot more appreciative of what we do.
I can’t believe school starts next week. Can’t. Believe. It. Summer is gone.
Did y’all know that some people think dance is our “hobby” or we get to “play all day” with kids? Conversely, they also think we are rich. Unbelievable.
I miss Keith.
That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
